Can connections really land you a job? Well, 66% of Australians believe ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’1. It’s pedal to the metal as Jamie Hyneman pits professional racing driver Courtney Prince against Jethro Mclean, Jamie Hyneman Centre employee (and friend of Jamie).
The truth is 9% of employers made their most recent placement through word-of-mouth3. So, you’re more likely to find the right job via SEEK than your friend’s cousin’s basketball teammate.
